This university is a public university in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, which can be found in a location that faces onto the Seto Inland Sea and is blessed with a warm climate.
Our university's mission is to foster the growth of talented individuals that can contribute to the sustainable development of regional communities, and toward this end, we have established 2 faculties, namely, the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Urban Management, as well as a graduate school for further studies.
At the Faculty of Education, we train teachers and nursery school teachers while placing an important emphasis on childhood development.
At the Faculty of Urban Management, students will develop a foundational focus on the environment, while attaining a wide-ranging education that covers disciplines, such as business management, engineering, and sociology, and the faculty aims to nurture the growth of human talent that can approach issues from the perspective of community building as they excel in the corporate world or in public administration.

Established in 1975 as a comprehensive university composed of 5 faculties and 14 departments, as well as 4 graduate schools, Fukuyama University possesses an expansive campus that is rich in greenery, on which its 34 educational and research buildings are located.

In 2015, Yasuda Women’s University celebrated its 100th anniversary since its establishment.
In 1966, it established its Faculty of Letters, and in more recent years, it established its Faculty of Education and Faculty of Psychology in 2012, and in 2013 it established 2 graduate school programs, namely, its Graduate School of Human Ecology and Graduate School of Pharmacy.
In 2014, it added its Faculty of Nursing, and in 2018, it added its Graduate School of Nursing, and it has grown to become a comprehensive university composed of 4 graduate schools, 7 faculties, and 1 junior college (Graduate School of Letters, Graduate School of Human Ecology, Graduate School of Pharmacy, Graduate School of Nursing, Faculty of Letters, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Current Business, Faculty of Human Ecology, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Nursing, and its junior college).
