Where is the Hiroshima Support Center for International Students (HiCIS) located?

It is located in the central area of Hiroshima City, on the 6th floor of the “Crystal Plaza” building along Peace Boulevard.

How can I receive a scholarship?

A.

 There are scholarships for which you can apply through the university you are attending, as well as those that you can directly apply for.
In addition to the scholarships provided by the Hiroshima International Center, there are also scholarship programs provided by various organizations.

How can I become a Hiroshima Study Abroad Ambassador?

A.

A call for applications is made in April of each year.
We are also planning on making a call for applications through the Hiroshima Study Abroad Ambassador website and Facebook page.

I wish to attend an event, but what do I need to do?

A.

We will notify you through the news section of the Hiroshima Support Center for International Students and Hiroshima International Center websites, e-mail newsletters, and our Facebook page.

What is the “Discount Card for Cultural Facilities within the Prefecture/HiCIS Member’s Card?”

A.

It is a discount card issued by the Hiroshima International Center.

  • You can receive discounts on admission fees to enter cultural facilities (art museums and museums, etc.) within Hiroshima Prefecture.
  • You can receive information on events held by the Hiroshima Support Center for International Students through our e-mail newsletter.
    *You can choose whether or not you would like to receive such information when you sign up.

Can you introduce me to a part-time employer?

At the Hiroshima Support Center for International Students, we are unable to introduce you to work.
As there are cases where schools introduce their students to part-time employers, please ask your school.
