Daruma festival

This festival has been continued for about 440 years, dating back to the end of the Muromachi Era. You are supposed to entrust your wishes to darumas, which are dolls of the Zen sect of Buddhism.

Oyster Festivals

Hiroshima is the country’s largest production center of oysters.
You can sample and buy oysters at oyster festivals across the prefecture.

Skiing

There are a large number of ski resorts within the prefecture.
They are easily accessible from the urban areas of Hiroshima, and there are also one-day (day-trip) tours by bus.
These resorts feature everything from easy courses geared toward beginners and families to fully-fledged courses geared toward experts.
