Recruitment!! Hiroshima Study Abroad Ambassador 2024

International students who study in Hiroshima work as a Hiroshima Study Abroad Ambassador (HSAA).

They share information about attractions and student life in Hiroshima to the rest of the world through social media.

*Goals and Responsibilities of the Hiroshima Study Abroad Ambassador (HSAA) Program

・In order to increase the number of students who study abroad in Hiroshima Prefecture, to communicate the "appeals of studying abroad in Hiroshima", such as the study abroad environment in Hiroshima Prefecture and the university where you are studying, to people in Japan and abroad through SNS and your own activities.

*Activities of HSAA Program*

・Participate in local volunteer activities that interest you (activities to be presented by the coordinator), and study solutions to regional issues, and discover and promote local attractions.

・As a leader of international students in the activities of the Hiroshima Support Center for International Students (HiCIS), participate in various events, communicate the content of activities and interactions with regional people on SNS, and conduct PR activities for the HSAA and the HiCIS.

Apr 22nd (Mon) ~ May 19th (Sun) 2024

*Number of recruits*

There is no limit to the number of applicants, however only those who meet the following conditions will be appointed as HSAA in August.  (Maximum number of appointees: 25 people)

(1)Must at minimum attend 1 out of 2 Hiroshima training sessions, which will have information necessary to serve as an HSAA (2 trainings total between June and July).

(2)Must regularly post on your personal social media account about study abroad in Hiroshima, following the themes set by the HiCIS.

※However, if there are over 25 applicants who meet the above conditions (1) and (2), 25 HSAAs will be chosen comprehensively based on the contents of their applications, SNS posts etc.

*Conditions to apply*

・International students must be enrolled in a university, junior college, technical college, or Japanese language school in Hiroshima Prefecture.

・Able to communicate in simple Japanese or be currently studying Japanese.

・Will act with self-awareness and responsibility as an HSAA, and has the will to independently post about the appeals of Hiroshima, as well as to help solve regional problems in Hiroshima.

・Except for unavoidable situations, be able to participate in the HSAA’s pre-trainings and trainings.

・Able to actively engage with people from other countries or regions, other schools and locals.

・Able to periodically post information on your own SNS account, or be able to make an SNS account for your HSAA posts.

・Have interest and proactively participate in the activities of the HiCIS and other organizations, can actively participate in the projects hosted by our center and the Hiroshima International Center, as well as spread information on these activities to other students.

・Will act as a member of HSAA until the end of the term (until March 2025).
