In regards to the currently followed job search schedule in Japan, the “season for informational sessions” begins in March for 3rd year students, and the “season for selection processes, such as recruiting interviews” begins in June for 4th year students.

As employment assistance websites, such as Rikunabi, Mynavi, and Career Tasu, etc., are opened up for access to match with this schedule, generally speaking, the actual job search activities for students start from March of their 3rd year of university.
In regards to the job search schedule for students graduating in 2021 and onward, while the responsibility of determining this overall schedule has shifted away from the Japan Business Federation (colloquially referred to as the “Keidanren”) to the national government, the government has requested the individual business organizations to keep to the original schedule that was traditionally used in the past.
